Due to the impacts of the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak and its impact on mobility and holding on-site meetings, workshops or conferences, the GIZ SRECA project transferred existing project outputs into digital formats for partners and beneficiaries. Explainer videos are an effective, yet simple tool, to disseminate knowledge on processes or issues. SRECA, together with the Sino-German Center for Sustainable Development (CSD), has produced six explainer videos. Two of them focusing on support for export processes of fruits from Cambodia and Vietnam to China. The videos illustrate processes to build capacity among local small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
China as a direct neigbhour is a very important trading partner for Cambodia and Vietnam, especially when it comes to fruits exports. However, the strict and complicated exportation procedures, fluctuating of prices, standards and hard to anticipate market situations set forth many challenges for Cambodian and Vietnamese exporters when trying to enter the Chinese market. The two videos below summarise key tools GIZ SRECA and its local partners: the General Directorate of Agriculture (GDA) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery, Cambodia as well as the Vietnam Trade Promotion Promotion Agency (VIETRADE) of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam, have developed together. It also shows the collaboration of SRECA with Chinese partners to organise trainings to support Cambodian and Vietnamese businesses.
