The SRECA project, implemented by GIZ on behalf of the BMZ, conducted a triangular online training on 28-29, April 2021. It was organised with Chinese women entrepreneurs and respective associations to introduce and share knowledge of how to utilise the Chinese e-commerce market for members of the Mongolian Women Entrepreneurs Council (MWEC). German experts from women entrepreneur initiatives updated the MWEC members on digital networking and business development in Germany to promote linkages to the European market.
The online training brought together different perspectives such as, facilitating Mongolian women entrepreneurs with basic knowledge on e-commerce, giving insights on promoting certain product categories within the online market in China, introducing support structures for women entrepreneuers and business initiatives from Germany and serving as a platform to initiate cooperation between Mongolian women entrepreneurs and counterparts from China and Germany.
About 50 participants and Mongolian women entreprenuers from cashmere, organic cosmetics, fashion design, agriculture and food processing, trade and construction sectors participated actively in the triangular online training.
The participants learnt several topics such as e-commerce & digital marketing in China, entering new markets in fashion/cashmere in EU, marketing and logistics approaches for e-commerce in China, strategic networking via online, e-commerce, organic products and agri-products in China and organic products and organic cosmetics entering the EU market and exchanged their views on speakers’ success stories and experiences.
In the end of the training the participants expressed their gradutite for the SRECA project organising such event during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, particularly amid the long strict lockdown in Mongolia. Also they regard that the online training was very practical to upgrade their business and enhance their products to enter to the new markets via using e-commerce in the future.
