SRECA together with the bilateral PROGRES project in Mongolia supported the organisation of the hybrid event, “Export Mongolia 2022-Reviving the Economy Through Value Added Export” International Business Forum and Exhibition on 14 December 2022. The event was majorly organised by the Export International Trade Center (EITC) together with the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, Implementing Agency of Government – Small and Medium Enterprises Agency, Ulaanbaatar City SME Support Center, Development Solutions NGO, USAID-BEST Program, Export Development Project – The World Bank Group in Ulaanbaatar as well as via online platform the Export Mongolia.

The event was combined with pre-recorded series of discussions, B2B meeting, project pitches and award ceremony of the best export products. During the hybrid event in a total of 200 visitors participated on site event; 70 exhibitors exhibited their 1200 products via both online and offline exhibition; and 4447 visitors accessed the online platform. Mongolian companies in food and agriculture, trade and investment, banking and financing, tourism, cashmere, hides, skin, cosmetics and IT sectors attended the event both physically and virtually.

The Project Director of GIZ PROGRES Ms Jutta Rehag participated as a panelist in the pre-recorded discussion “Benefits of international projects and programs supporting exports and future considerations” to share the SRECA activities towards supporting export of Mongolian SMEs as well as exchange views on export development of Mongolia.

The annual event was very well received by the participants, especially the exhibitors, for it has provided them opportunities to display and introduce their potential exporting products in tangible ways.
